Friday Favorties

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe it is already the weekend? I swear the weeks are flying by.We are soaking up the rest of our time in Nuremberg (less than 2 months!) but are also so excited for the summer and to be reunited with family and friends! There is lots to look forward to in the coming months! This week we enjoyed getting back to a daily routine and also went on the prettiest walk in an area we have never explored. We have lived here for almost 9 months and we are still finding hidden gems- I just love it. So it was a great week here in Germany- how was yours?!

Now on to some Friday fun. This week I want to share some favorites of mine! They are things that I use all the time and wanted to share with you all because I think they are that great!

{ONE}
The Wet Brush. My mom bought this brush for me and gave it to me over her visit. And man, it is wonderful! I never brush my hair when it is wet, I only use a comb because I fear of breakage. But it takes me forever to comb out. So when I tried this brush on my wet hair, I was a little worried my hair would be breaking left and right. But not at all! It is the best detangling tool I have ever used. And the best part? I have noticed no breakage AND my hair is completely brushed out with just a few strokes. It is awesome!

{TWO}
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. So I have used this for a couple of years now and I am convinced it is the absolute best. I have tried cheaper brands, I used a cheaper brand over here for a few months because I ran out. And I could tell a total difference in my skin. This moisturizer keeps my skin so soft. My skin is never dry but also never oily when I use it. It works wonders for my skin and I am a huge fan. Needing a new moisturizer? Try this one!

{THREE}
Nestea peach tea. They have it all over here and I am sure they would in the states too. Obviously water is always better but since I gave up my diet cokes, I need a little something different every once in a while. And this is it! It is so tasty. I am not a fan of sweet tea, but like this stuff because it is not super sweet, just very refreshing.

{FOUR}
Bath salts. As I have said before I really enjoy a nice bath. It is something that is just so relaxing to me. Bubble baths are wonderful but I also really love a bath with a good bath salt. I recently got some bath salts from a company called Manufaktura- I got rose, mojito and lavender scents. My favorite scent right now is the lavender by far...it is so realxing and calming. And if you are in the states one of my favorite bath salt brands is Zum Jujucuzzi. If you are in Lubbock, I get it at Market Street!

{FIVE}
And for this last favorite, I need your help! I need a favorite self tanner. I have never used a self tanner at home but am really wanting to try one this year. I want one that is just the right color, looks natural and does not make me look orange! What have you used? Have you heard of a brand that is suppose to be great?

So, so glad you stopped by on this Friday! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend full of lots of fun!

Linking up with the wonderful Natasha, Darci, April & Christina and Lauren Elizabeth.

Day Trip to Bamberg

When our friends visited last month we took a little day trip to a town about 45 minutes away...Bamberg. And it was so cute! Very quaint and pretty, we had the best time just walking around and enjoying the beautiful sites.

I mean how pretty is this...

 I just love all the little red rooftops. They are all over Germany and I think they add so much character to a home.

 These two guys were pretty happy to be reunited:)

 I will always be in awe of all the old buildings over here.
 ^^^can you see the leg sticking out at the bottom of the building? Look really close. There is a painting of a person right there and they decided to make it look a little more interesting^^^

 Look at those gentlemen carrying their "satchels". Otherwise known as the girl's camera  bags :)

 isn't it just so quaint and cute? we all really adored this place.

^^^this little area is known as Little Venice. Such fun houses along the water^^^

 The boys using google maps to find a place to eat. Google Maps is a lifesaver when exploring a new town or city! I have a plan to do a post about it very soon.

 Roberto loves maps, like really loves them. He loves knowing every nook and cranny in a city which makes for a pretty great travel buddy.

How cute are these two lovebirds?!...

This was the perfect little town for a day trip! We went on a Sunday, so all the stores were closed, but we were completely satisfied just walking around, getting lost and enjoying all the beauty around us. If you can go on a day other than Sunday though they did have some really neat shops that would be fun to go into!

We also enjoyed some delicious German food at a place called  Klosterbrau. So if you ever make it to Bamberg it is a must! They also have tons of yummy gelato places all around that are perfect for dessert.
Germany has so many beautiful little towns all over that are so quaint, historic and really beautiful. You really can hardly go wrong. Bamberg is no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was the perfect Sunday afternoon!

I am Back!

I took a little break from blogging to enjoy time with my mama the past week and a half! And it was wonderful. I will do a full post on her time here soon. Basically, we traveled, talked, ate, went on bike rides, saw a musical and enjoyed every nook and cranny of Nuremberg! I SO enjoyed time with my sweet mama.

A little side note: She was set to land in Lubbock (home) Sunday night at 8:15, which would have been after 20 hours of traveling. She made it to Houston and was ready for her final flight and then it was delayed. And delayed and delayed. Something about not having a crew for the flight??? So then after 7 hours of waiting they finally said no flight and put them up in a hotel. But did not have a flight to Lubbock for three days! So she finally got a flight for 7 the next morning (slept about 2 hours) to Dallas, where she then could connect to Amarillo- about an hour and half away from Lubbock where my sweet step dad would pick her up. And THEN she gets to Dallas and they do not have her reservation so she then has to wait for the next flight which is then delayed as well. Can you believe all that?? About 30 minutes ago she finally landed in Amarillo and will be home to Lubbock soon. I was shocked with all the trouble she had do go through- she is a tough cookie.  I have never had this much trouble with flying but definitely heard stories like this. Has this ever happened to any of you??

So now, this week will be a slow one, which Rob and I are excited about. We are using this week to really start the process again of being productive and getting lots of things accomplished. With so many visitors we kinda got out of the groove, which we will take any day! But it will be nice this week to really get back into a routine- cooking more, eating healthier (still working on those March goals- a full recap will come at the end of the month!), working out regularly, reading more-just getting back into a "normal" day to day.

 A few pictures from our past week, some I also posted on instagram...

I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday. Here's to a great and productive week!

Our Wedding Day: The Best Friends

Our wedding party, our friends. Man we are so thankful for these people, The way they love on us, support us and encourage us is amazing. We love you guys so much and are so very, thankful for each of your sweet friendship.

After Family pictures, all of our family headed to the reception as well as the wedding party. Us and the wedding party then took about 15 minutes to take pictures outside the venue, all together! It was a blast.  It was a short amount of time, but wonderful Betsy sure got some super fun and amazing shots, ones that Rob and I love so much.

 Can you see little kinley squished in there? come on kin push through...

 you're almost there...

 almost...

 she made it!! Poor kinley, such the trooper!

Then Robert and I got to take some just the two of us, there was a little hustle in our step at this point to get to the reception, but we were able to push that aside and enjoy such a sweet, sweet time together. We got to soak in for a quick sec...We are married! You're my husband?? You're my wife?? What?!

Let me tell you every little part of your wedding day is so much fun and so memorable. And this was no different. Being able to celebrate with friends after and then a little alone time together before the reception officially began...sweet, sweet memories.

And now it was time to make our grand entrance as husband and wife! Our bridal party entered first getting their groove on...

 And then Mr. and Mrs. Lewandowski...

 I am a Lewandowski! and a Mrs!

And then it was time to celebrate!!

Up next...A look into our celebration! Lots of fun, lots of dancing, some cake in the face and some really fun times!

To catch up with the rest of our Wedding Festivities...

Have a great day, friends!

Five on Friday...Lots of Sunshine

Today is a great day my friends. My mama is coming to town and I am SO ready to see her!! We have lots of fun planned for her time here, we will be riding bikes,going on picnics, traveling some and lots of catching up! Hurry up Mamasita! Now for a little Five on Friday with the wonderful Darci, Natasha, Christine and April

{ONE}
The weather here has been fabulous. It has been in the 60's every single day this week and the sun is out in full force. Man, I love it! This winter it hasn't been too cold but the sun rarely shines, it wasn't until this past week that I realized how much I missed that sweet sunshine. There is just nothing like it! Rob and I went on a great walk yesterday which ended at Starbucks. We sat outside, did a little people watching, got to chat with some friends and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. I am looking forward to so many more days like this! Hence the reason we will be doing picnics and bike rides while my mom is here!

My handsome hubby with a fresh haircut, done by yours truly, enjoying our time outside...

{TWO}
I just love reliving and remembering June 15, 2013...our wedding day! This week I recapped a little "panic" during wedding planning and lots of reception details! In the process of planning a wedding? This post is for you! You can also check out the rest of my wedding posts by clicking on the black wedding tab on my sidebar!

{THREE}
I love a good nail polish. I really love shellac, but haven't found a place here to get it done and really it's nice to save that  money right now! For normal polish, I really like OPI. They have so many beautiful colors and it lasts! The problem? OPI nail polish here is 17 euros, that's about $23. For a bottle of polish! No thanks. So my mom is bringing my favorite color over here with her, Cajun Shrimp. It is the perfect coral(ish) color. Need a fun polish for the fast approaching spring? This is your color!

{FOUR}
Robert and I have just started watching a classic, one of the bests...Friends! We both feel like we have seen almost every episode but am quickly realizing there are so many I have not seen! It is the perfect show to watch together and we get such a good laugh. And then there is this video...it is a must watch. I get chills every single time I listen to this, it is just too good! And I  found out it is on itunes and purchased it right away! Just search the group, Trillogy.

{FIVE}
And lastly...my mama! Cannot wait to hug her neck!

I hope you all have a wonderful and fun weekend! You deserve it :) If you want to keep up with my daily posts and daily life you can follow me on...

Happy Friday, friends!
